Northeast Persia (Iran), c. 175 (182) x 102 cm, beginning of the 20th century, tribal carpet of the ‘Djanbeghi’ with impressively designed main border characterised by angled, interrupted and intersecting wave patterns, the rare field pattern is normally characteristic of transport bags, uniformly good pile condition, ivory-coloured woven finish preserved on both sides, slight edge damages to the goat hair shirazi.
