Uzbekistan, c. 223 x 167 cm, mid-19th century, six-panel silk embroidery in orderly construction and large border frame with a floral diamond pattern and gold brown cotton ground, only upon closer inspection does the background reveal the presence of two characteristic shapes of little birds, cheerful blankets such as the present one were used as bedspreads by married couples, only minor damage, imaginary stains, mounted on silk fabric.
