East Anatolia (Turkey), c. 198 x 122 cm, 19th century, Kurdish carpet with nesting hooked rhombi on camel-coloured background with cochineal, extremely pleasant, soft pile wool; whilst carpets such as the present are mostly heavily warped and severely damaged, this item presents a very good overall condition with minor signs of wear, shirazi replaced, both ends with some repairs.
