stylish lead glass window with coloured glass and glass painting. The depiction shows a mixture of a pietá and a lamentation of Christ, which is part of the Passion of Christ. Four persons from his closest circle are gathered around the body of Christ: Mary of Nazareth, Mary Magdalene, the apostle John and Joseph of Arimathia. Signed on the side Otto Linnemann and Rud. Linnemann 1914, Frankfurt a. Main. Six fields framed in U-shaped brass profiles. Height 123 cm, width 304 cm. Additions and restorations were executed professionally. This sample window from the cemetery chapel was part of the Werkbund exhibition in Cologne in 1914 and exhibited in the church interior. The cycle, including five further windows, was conceived and created for the exhibition's church interior. This Werkbund exhibition showed renowned artists and designers inlcuding Jan Thorn Prikker, Henry van de Velde, Walter Gropius and of course Otto Linnemann.
