France, Transition period, circa 1770/80, stamped MACRET and JME (Pierre Macret, maître from 1756). An oak chest of drawers, with amaranth and tulipwood veneer, also decorated with marquetry cubes in various fine woods, with 2 “sans traverse” drawers, a moulded marble top (Saint Bertevin) and 1 key. 85 x 128 x 56 cm.
