A four piece afternoon dress,
Vienna, around 1890, green striped silk, skirt cut in wide trains with small trail, hook fastener in back, left and right of which are tight pleats, fully lined with linen, seam reinforced with cotton ribbon, top tapered at the waist, inserted rods, puffed sleeves with net lace finishing, back with eyelets and tie ribbon, lined with linen, coat, continuous front, applied waist with pleats in back, applied frills, top lined with linen, button fastening, buttons added, one further top (very bad condition), split in places, yellow discolouration under the arms, very used condition in line with age, (HS)
