Tibet, spätes 19./20. Jh. In der Bildmitte thront der buddhistische Gelehrte und Tantriker Padmasambhava, der den Buddhismus im 8. Jh. in Tibet etabliert haben soll, auf einer Lotosblüte, die einem See entwächst, begleitet von seinen Gefährtinnen Yeshe Tsogyal und Mandarava. Am Himmel Buddha Shakyamuni und ein Gelug-Lama, im Vordergrund der Budda der Medizin und die Weiße Tara. 57 x 38,5 cm. Beschädigt. (BA)
