Tsukioka Yoshitoshi - Asian art

(1839–1892) Three chuban tate-e. From the series, ‘Biyu suikoden’ (Handsome and brave heroes of the Suikoden). Publ.by Omiya Kyusuke.
a) The archer, Akamatsu Jutamaru Takanori and the spirit of his sister, Yaehatahime. Signed: Kaisai Yoshitoshi hitsu. Censor and date: aratame, 12th month 1866.
b) Shoguntaro Taira Yoshikado rendering two scoundrels harmless. Signed: Kaisai Yoshitoshi hitsu. Censor and date: aratame, 4th month 1867. Woodcut executed by: Watanabe Eizo.
c) Yatsuhiro, the wife of Hatchotsubute Kiheiji, and the wolf, Nokaze defend themselves. Signed: Gyokuo Yoshitoshi hitsu. Censor and date: aratame, 12th month 1866.
Very good impressions, very good colours, margins slightly yellowing, each with binding holes to one margin,
b) crease to upper right corner with crease,
b) and c) mounts affixed at upper corners. (BA)
