A pair of girandoles of excellent workmanship by the Moscow silver smith Jakob Wibert (active 1829-1852), formerly in the collection of Counts Shuvalov. The Shuvalov family rose to power during the reign of Tsarina Elisabeth and were awarded their earldom in 1776.
