A wrist-watch with miniature oil painting by Professor Karl Hodina "Löwe" (Lion), gold 750, lever movement, calibre 1602, shockproof, adjust to four positions, 20 jewels, the dial with a polychrome painted miniature in oils signed KH, reference 5112, the casing numbered W026465, ca 1997, Ø ca. 32 mm, pin catch gold 750, attached to leather strap, 36,7 g, documentation, certificate enclosed, with original case

Prof. Karl Hodina (b. 1935) musician, composer, painter, exceptional artist and Viennese character. Trained as a lithographer, he started to exhibit his works at numerous renowned galleries in the nineteen-sixties, went on to illustrate children’s books, art calendars, art portfolios, as well as creating designs for postage stamps. He is considered to belong to the “Vienna School of Fantastic Realism”. Prof. Hodina was awarded the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art 1st class.
