Vienna, 1950, moulded solid walnut, brass rods, upholstered and covered with textile fabric, height 80 cm, width 58 cm, depth 60 cm, height of seat 45 cm. (DRAX)
Haerdtl used this model for the 1950 Werkbund exhibition at the Vienna Messepalast and for the drawing room and the show room of the Welz company in Vienna. Haerdtl’s typical combination of a wood construction with brass rods for the backrest can also be found in similar models for the Café Prückel and the Palais Auersperg in Vienna.
