A unique piece.
The “Austria” table is part of the “EU Tables” project. For each EU country – in 1996 including 15 nations (France, Great Britain, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Greece, Belgium, Finland, Portugal, Spain, and Austria) – Pesce designed a table the top of which was determined by the outlines of its borders. The tables are supported on legs in the form of question marks. Each country’s capital is marked by a dot. All of the tables are unique pieces, as is the EU Table itself, comprising all of the countries, with its outlines comprising of the borders of the European Union as it existed then.
