A ceremonial or bridal veil, called ‘tadghart’. From the Berber women of the ‘Ida ou Zeddoute’, from the central Anti-Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco. Made of loosely woven wool, dyed black with natural colours, as well as dyed red and yellow with henna in reserve-dyeing technique (by binding off). In perfect condition. A rare textile! First half of the 20th century or earlier. L: 138 cm, W: 140 cm. (ME)
