A rod (or ‘sceptre”) with the head of a hornbill, on top of which is a female figure in typical Mossi style. An original, rare piece with very good usage patina and an old original repair: The legs of the woman were once broken and were repaired with leather collars a long time ago. Otherwise no damage. First half of the 20th century; H: 6 cm (in total). (ME)
