Baroque hall cupboard,
Known as a Maria Theresienschrank, Austria, mid 18th century. A softwood cabinet which is dismountable by means of the wedge joints, with a moulded cornice and plinth, also with canted angles. It is decorated with walnut, burl walnut, plum and burl poplar marquetry bands and panels. The two doors are painted on the inside with saints and a star pattern in the panels. 226 x 203 x 68 cm. With a two-bar box lock. Some wood parts replaced, in restored condition. (DOC)
