Fortuna, Roman goddess of fate and fortune often depicted with wings. For the ancient Greeks, Chronos was the personification of time, being confused even from an early period with Kronos, titan of Greek mythology, due to the similarity in their names. In ancient times, the swan was considered a holy bird belonging to Apollo.
