porcelain, cylindrical body with gilt rim interior, to exterior burnished gilt and dark red rims, gilt beaded strips with border of small leaves and large gilt foliate frieze on a white ground, reserve with polychrome-painted landscape and fountain, before which sits a sad youth with a damaged jug, behind him his sister scolding him, encompassed by small gilt leaves, angular gilt handle with foliate and console terminals, height 5.7 cm, Ø 13.5 cm, Vienna, Imperial Manufactory, underglaze blue shield mark, year marks 1799 and 1800, Sorgenthal era, turner nos 11 and 39, gilt design painter probably Anton Kothgasser 1784-1816, the best design painter at the Manufactory (Ru)
