This treaty returned religious freedom of the Evangelic-Lutheran church to the Augsburg confession Silesian dukes, the duchies of Brieg, Liegnitz, Münsterberg and Öls as well as the city of Wrezlaw. This occurred as a result of an intervention by Swedish King Charles XII and was ratified by Emperor Joseph I in 1709.
