Afshar front,
South Persia (Iran), c. 52 (69) x 90 (101) cm, mid-19th century, front of a former large double bag of the Afshar tribes, collectible piece with rare ground pattern, upper end with mostly complete woven fastening strap, at the lower end only remains of the kilim backing are preserved, short left side trimmed, mounted on linen and framed, with a peephole on the back showing the fine knotting.
