Central Anatolia (Turkey), c. 170 x 120 cm, about 1800, prayer rug with bright colours and aubergine as is only to be found in early specimens, the coffined main border is interrupted by a bar with rhombi at both ends, the water jug in the mihrab stands for purity, on both long sides the narrow outer border is no longer preserved, good pile condition for its age and with few repairs, side edges repaired, both ends secured on the back with a linen band.
