These chairs were commissioned for the Fiala apartment in Vienna and were used around a table by Carlo Scarpa. Terzic started out from a plain slatted chair, the form of whose backrest he modified. The delicate pencil drawings quote historical elements of style. The concept of a combination of “seat structure” and “possible adaptations” he had developed shortly earlier for his exhibition at Section N in Vienna. A comparable chair is preserved in the collections of the MAK in Vienna.
