silver, of rectangular form, gadrooned rim, shellwork, the lid with engraved coat-of-arms, with branch handle, 31,5 x 23,5 cm, Height: 20 cm, Weight: 2360 g, maker’s mark IB = John Bridge, London hallmark 1827/28, (Lu)

Bearing the alliance coat-of-arms of Charles Duncombe, 1st Baron Feversham (1764-1841), British Member of Parliament, and his and his wife Lady Charlotte Legge, daughter of the politician William Legge, 2nd Earl of Dartmouth, made Baron Feversham in 1826.
