Little is known about the artist Pietro Navarra. His paintings can be stylistically dated to the turn of the 17th and 18th Century and his works are stylistically close to works of Christian Berentz. Biographer Lione Pascoli noted Pietro Navarra in 1736 as the most accomplished follower of Franz Werner Tamm and documentation states that he was employed by the Rospigliosi Family, for whom he worked as “pittore di famiglia”.
