Expert opinion 2012 from KommR Peter Kössl provided. The Schwanthaler family were sculptors of the baroque and rococo period in Ried im Innkreis. Johann Franz Schwanthaler (1683 – 1762) was the son of Thomas Schwanthaler and father of Johann Peter Schwanthaler the elder.
