French demi-lune chest of drawers,
Louis XVI period circa 1770/80. Made in oak and softwood with amaranth and tulipwood veneer, also with marquetry flowers and ornament in various partly dyed and burnt fine woods. The chest has three drawers, two lateral doors, a shaped marble top (sarrancolin) and gilt bronze mounts. Stamped on the right support: E. AVRIL (ETIENNE AVRIL maître from 1774) and JME (JURES MENUISIERS EBENISTES). 88 x 114 x 47.5 cm. In fine restored condition, three keys. (MIN)
