Central Caucasus, approx. 250 x 155 cm, end of the 19th century, these shaggy carpets with deep pile were long unknown and have been only recently attributed to the strip of land in Southeast Armenia that is inhabited by Kurds, with massive decorations and the finest wool quality, this piece is in mint condition, heavy grip, original and consistently deep pile wool, large woven finish with mesh-braided warp threads.
