West Turkestan, c. 175 x 135 cm, mid-19th century, immediately noticeable in this tent door carpet are its polychrome two-piece elem design and the gable representing the image of a bird, “pek-vesh” flowers in the four sections of the hatchlu field and rare, light-ground ashik border, pile with signs of wear, some old repairs, both ends reduced, side edges repaired.
