Northeast Persia (Iran), c. 70 x 83 cm, c. 1900, knotted bag face of a former double bag with velvety pile wool and parts executed with violet silk in the white central octagon, back part missing, side edges rebound, although the central field is one of the most frequently knotted patterns of the Baluch tribes, this piece is a special and early specimen of this group on the grounds of both its rare white tree/arrow border and its wool quality.
