manufactured by Venini, Murano, 2011, colourless and aquamarine blue overlaid glass, each vase featuring a different surface texture: “Velato”/silky matt finish, with incised signature: Prototypo, h. c. Aquamare Ando/venini 2011, acid etched factory mark: 90/Venini/2011/Ando, height c. 56.5 cm. Prototype for the limited edition of 90 art pieces, 30 for each colour, with different measurement and colour. (MHA)

Made on the occasion of Venini’s 90th anniversary.

With a copy of a certificate issued by Venini and signed by Tadao Ando and Giancarlo Chimento.

The art of the Japanese architect Tadao Ando is characterised by its consistent minimalism. Similar to his buildings, he also concentrates on simple geometric forms in his vase objects, combining them with the aestheticism of subtle surface accentuations.
