Walther Bernt writes about Roghman: "His subjects are mountain landscapes with distant views of vast plains and romantic river valleys with solitary groups of tall trees, occasionally depicted with crooked trunks, and with bridges in the middle ground. They are rendered in olive green and brown hues…". A comparable landscape painting by Roghman is preserved in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (inv. no. 2045).
