Actually, I was always a realist painter. I cannot do it any other way. I have never had any kind of abstract periods. Not because I am against them, but because I just cannot do it. I can only do what I paint, and I have always tried to do it with ever-increasing quality. I have also always painted landscapes, at the time of the Art Club, and mostly since then. And in the style to which I have been faithful since then. I believe that my pictures have a very clear and simple way of depicting landscape, in which nothing is occluded and nothing literary is lodged. So, no tricks or anything like that. ...
