porcelain, polychromed and gilt, of pitcher form, the body with wide gilt edging, handle with winged firedrake, seated genius with dragon wings and bundled lightning bolts in the left hand, the neck and foot with acanthus leaves heightened with gilt and red, red painted scatter of flowers and yellow-black salamanders on white ground, the facing side of the baluster with seated Vulcan with bellows in the right hand, hammer, facing a torch bearer, in the middle distance a sculpted burning forest and mountains, dead stag, fleeing deer, hare, bear, stag, ram, and wolf, central oak tree, on the base a boy with dragon wings, the torch in the right hand and bundled lightening in the left hand, reverse side with volcano landscape with active volcano and rocks in the foreground, Height: 67 cm, restorations; Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords 2nd half 19th cent., model no. 310, former no. 76, model by Johann Joachim Kändler 1741, Serie der 4 Elemente (Ru)
