Scene after a gouache, based on a Raffael (1483- 1520) sketch, from the bathroom of cardinal Bibbiena, (1513-1520), at the Vatican, Rome. The gouache was created by Michelangelo Maestri (1750- 1812 Rome), whose very decorative gouaches contain designs from the recently discovered rooms of ancient Pompeii and Herculaneum, or as in this case are based on designs by Raffael and his student Giulio Romano.
