porcelain, each with 3 sockets with narrow and wide gilt edging, light turquoise, leaves heightened with light purple-gilt, palm shaft, the facing side with gilt eagle with spread wings personifying Zeus, in the foreground Ganymed with short rod in the right hand, on the left a dog looking up and a syrinx on the left, Hebe, in the right hand a goblet filled with red wine, on the left a grapevine, on the right a rosebush and jug, Ganymed and Hebe wearing rose wreathes, and similarly painted garments, the round base with a wreath of gilt beads, narrow and wide gilt edging, cloth festoons heightened with gilt, buttons and rosettes, Height: 35,5 cm, minor restorations, Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords 2nd half 19th cent., model no. K 49, 50, former no. 28, 28, gilt painter no. 8, 8, model by Johann Daniel Schöne 1793, based on a mosaic in a Roman villa at Paphos Cyprus, 3th cent. BCE., very rare candelabra (Ru)
