The inscription on the reverse of this painting refers to the Convent of the Capucines in Mureck, Styria. It had been founded in 1667 by the Counts of Stubenberg. The monastery was abolished by Emperor Joseph II in 1782. The role of Prince Josef Johann Adam of Liechtenstein (1690–1732) in this context is not clear.
