Milan Handl attended the Glassmaking Secondary School in Železný Brod and then continued his studies in prof. Stanislav Libenský’s studio at the AAAD in Prague, graduating in 1972. After graduating, he worked as prof. Stanislav Libenský’s assistant. In his freelance work, he creates primarily fused sculptures, which he then cuts and assembles into difficult and impressive compositions. He is interested in the motif of light passing through, its changeability and reflections within the work.
The Table work on offer goes beyond this approach. The author placed two impressions of a woman’s body in it using the technique of fusing sculptures against one another. He created a piece full of delicate erotica and paid homage to feminine beauty.
