porcelain, of cylindrical form, the body with interior gilding and white well, the exterior with burnished gilt ground with gilt bars, gilt painted trees with birds perched among branches, dog, eagle, and swans on a light purple ground, light blue outline, gilt chevron border on a matt gilt band, gilt laurel wreath and rosette on a white ground, an octagonal reserve containing polychrome painted sylvan landscape on Mt Ida, Paris handing Aphrodite the prize for her beauty, between them Cupid and clinging to the goddess, in the foreground a quiver, the angular gilt handle with leaf- and console terminal, height: 6 cm, rim with 2 small restorations, Ø 13,5 cm Vienna, Imperial Manufactory, underglaze blue Austrian shield, date 1799,1802, Sorgenthal Era, turner no. 31, 39, gilt painter no. 20 Ignatz Schmidt 1801–1833 (Ru)
