France mid-18th century. An elegant serpentine desk, made partly in oak and softwood, with rosewood veneer and floral marquetry in various partly dyed fine woods, with 3 drawers and a fall-front writing surface, 4 interior drawers and a sliding compartment in the case. The desk is stamped DELORME (Adrien Delorme, maître from 1748). Ca. 99 x 90 x 50 cm. In restored condition, the mounts and the leather lining of the writing surface replaced. ASB (MIN)
