The present painting, once attributed to Martin Johann Schmidt, called Kremser Schmidt (Grafenwörth 1718–1801 Stein/Danube), comes from the circle of the Upper Austrian painter Wolfgang Andreas Heindl (Linz 1693–1757 Wels). We are grateful to Johann Kronbichler, Brixen/Bressanone, for his kind assistance in cataloguing this lot.
