The study was used by Egger-Lienz for a figure in the upper left part, to the right of the raised scythe blade. The study for “Kreuz” was made between March and September 1900 in Sarnthein, Lienz, Windisch Matrei and Kals. At this point, when the study was made, Egger-Lienz was in Sarnthein.
