On the 16th November 1731 Charles VI issued guild articles regarding the organisational requirements of craftsmen and their guilds for Czech hereditary lands. On the 5th January 1739, he issued general guild articles, which together with the aforementioned decree unified the guild conditions in the Czech lands; competences of the guilds were already then severely restricted and their activity was subject to state supervision by this new proclamation.
