Wood, bamboo, boar's teeth and kauri shells, 58 cm. Only a few of these spectacular 'fetish' masks are known. The ovoid or head container is where they place the magical charge. Some have small sculptures, other have bones and skulls inside. Nobody knows the true function of these intriguing masks.
