Josef Hoffmann, a pendant with chain in original jewellery box, Wiener Werkstätte, 1903 - Jugendstil and 20th Century Arts and Crafts

silver, partly with hammered decoration, various gemstones including carneliana, chalcedonies (also green stained chalcedonies) and lapis lazuli; marked WW multiple times, silver purity hallmark (greyhound), audit office stamp; size of pendants: 5 x 3.9 cm, total length: 36.8 cm. Beige leather Wiener Werkstätte case, embossed with rose mark in black on the reverse. (MP)

Three examples of the pendant with chain were executed. These were made for Dr. Koller (December 1903), Orlik (April 1904) and Hirschwald (September 1904).
