Southeast Caucasus, c. 230 x 167 cm, late 19th century, this piece belongs to the group of carpets with staggered polygons, which in the present specimen fill in the central field in 3 x 3 horizontal rows, flanked by white rectangles on both sides, all motifs additionally display an interesting staggered hook outline, all sides original, consistently full pile wool, brown oxidised.
