Shahsavan,
Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 247 x 117 cm, last third of the 19th century, pattern of diagonal lines with cubic “S” shapes in alternating blue and white colours and rare border decoration, all sides complete, at the upper end the original braided warps have also survived, on the basis of the cotton weft this piece is attributable to the Shahsavans.
