2nd half of the 19th century. Made to a very high standard with marquetry of various exotic and European fine woods, as well as partly pierced bronze mounts. An elegant table with tapering fluted legs, a pivoting hinged top with felt lining on the inner surface, the outside decorated with a perspectival landscape and ruined temples. 75 x 41/82 x 41 cm. In fine original condition with very minor ageing. (MIN/PZ) An example of the finest marquetry technique which compares well with the work of the great cabinet makers such as SORMANI, DASSON, MILLET.
