This painting comes with a certificate from Prof J. Müller-Hofstede, Bonn (in respect of Pierre Mosnier).
Pierre Mosnier was the pupil, and later the assistant, of Sébastien Bourdon. The affinity with Bourdon’s figural language is apparent here.
