Edouard Bisson
Bisson, a pupil of Jean-Léon Géròme, was active in Paris where he was a member of the Société des Artistes Français. He painted chiefly genre scenes, portraits of women and maritime scenes which he exhibited at a variety of Parisian salons. Bisson enjoyed much critical acclaim, particularly after the World Exhibition of 1889. He was made a Chevalier of the Légion d`honneur in 1908.
