A Baroque cabinet, - Collection Reinhold Hofstätter

18th century, attributed to Mathäus Funk (1697 – 1783), walnut and burlwood veneered softwood frames with rising moulded cornice in the middle and rounded angles, marquetried with panels and bands of additional precious woods, two doors each, well-kept condition. A cabinet executed by Mathäus Funk now preserved in Jegenstorf Castle (Canton of Bern/CH) is strongly reminiscent of the present piece of furniture in its construction.
