According to Prof. Ugo Ruggeri Giuseppe Diziani was the eldest son of Gaspare Diziani (see certificate; secondo il prof. Ugo Ruggeri il presente dipinto é opera di Giuseppe Diziani, primogenito di Gaspare Diziani. Certificate/perizia: Prof. Ugo Ruggeri:’Giuseppe Diziani si dimostra intelligente prosecutore dei modi paterni e, per suo tramite, di quelli di Sebastiano Ricci e Francesco Fontebasso’ Since Pharaoh did not want to release the Israelites from slavery, God sent Moses and his brother, Aaron to Pharaoh. Aaron is supposed to have thrown his shepherd's crook at him. When Aaron did this the crook changed into a snake which ate up the snakes, into which Egypt's magicians had turned their staffs.
